Due to the increasing security levels being applied in the new Unitree package updates (1.1.2-1.1.4), a new method has been introduced. This method essentially replaces the modified files in the filesystem. It will also allow for effective downgrades in future Unitree firmware versions. Custom packages come with pre-enabled secondary development and therefore do not require any manipulation beyond installation.
To install a custom package, you should already have rooted your Go2, either by using a jailbreak tool or by applying a custom rootfs
To install a custom package, simply follow the instructions in the go2_firmware_tools (branch 1.1.1-1.1.4
) repository and select Firmware → Install Custom Package
The script will download and install the custom package. You will then be prompted to reboot. Press [Enter] .
On the next SSH login, you will notice the package version and mod version displayed in the banner.
Additionally, to check the version in the app, you can simply execute Data → Automatic Machine Inspection and press 'Start' at the right upper corner
